Starbucks closed 250 stores across the US and Canada. Search our database to see if yours is one of them.

Starbucks announced last week that it would close approximately 250 coffeehouses across North America, representing just under 1% of its more than 18,000 locations in the region.

In a memo to employees, chief operating officer Mike Grams said Starbucks had identified stores where it could not consistently provide its desired customer and employee experience or see a path to acceptable financial performance.

The company said affected employees would be offered transfers where possible, while those it could not place elsewhere would receive severance.

The closures are part of Starbucks' "Back to Starbucks" turnaround strategy, which seeks to improve service and restore stores as welcoming places for customers to spend time.
